Every year I count the days until Winter is over. This year has been especially challenging. But without challenges and difficult trying times, how would we recognize the good? To celebrate the return of Spring and the reawakening of our gardens, I took some pictures to celebrate the gift of Spring.
I have been blessed to watch my husband get a little bit better every day. We celebrate each pound he gains back and each familiar task he is able to do. He’s a professional engineer and started working remotely from home last week. A sure sign that he is on the mend.
Daily phone calls with our daughter lift my spirits, when our darling grandsons are on speaker, it makes me smile. Lord I miss them all to pieces, but know they are safer where they are in their home.
Our sons have been helping to keep the homefront going and seeing to everything I couldn’t do while my husband was in the hospital for four weeks. Our oldest son is an IT guy working remotely from home. Our youngest son just started working as an apprentice elevator repairman…in New York City. You can probably guess that I pray…a lot!.
Thank goodness Spring is in the air and I can be outside with our puppies, drinking in the fresh air and sunshine while I give thanks for all of the gifts in my life. There are many and I’m beyond grateful.
My closing prayer for you is that whatever higher power you believe in will…
Help you accept the things you cannot change,
Give you courage to change the things you can,
And grant you the wisdom to know the difference
