In August 2020, I asked the fabulously talented author and cover goddess, Sahara Kelly to create new covers for my bestselling historical Irish Western Series. She created the first e-book covers for this series eight years ago, after I received the rights back and self-published them. It was a heady feeling having the books published in e-book and trade paperback format (previously released in hardcover). But the best news…my Irish Western Series stayed on the Amazon Bestselling Western Romance List for four months straight!
DJ was doing well in August, his cancer numbers were steady, and he was feeling more like himself. It was the perfect time. I was on deadline with book two in my Lords of Vice Series for Dragonblade, so I decided to wait until I’d met my deadline and turned the book in.
Then…life happened…it’s now February 2021, and I’m officially another year older 63’s not looking so bad in the mirror today. Remembering DJ’s last advice to me: finish writing your books for Dragonblade and do more self-promotion…I decided today was the perfect day to reveal the new covers in honor of the man I will love for the rest of my life. Although he lost his battle with cancer three months ago today, DJ will live in my heart forever. He always has been and always will be the keeper of my heart, the love of my life, my best friend and the embodiment of each and every hero I have written, or will write. RIP my love.
